About Cindy: 

Cindy Grisdela is an Artist, Teacher and Author. Color and texture are the driving forces behind her contemporary art quilts. Cindy combines line and shape, along with stitch lines to create texture and dimension – a  process she likes to think of as painting with fabric and thread.

 
She creates dynamic contemporary compositions, cutting the shapes out freehand without a pattern or template and sewing them together. Color is the first step and usually begin with a color idea—maybe bright  saturated colors, or grays with black and white, or even a neutral palette. Cindy adds texture to her compositions with stitching lines with the sewing machine – some with freehand motifs and others with straight or wavy lines with my walking foot.

Please join this fun, lively artistic group of 250+ members. Our monthly meetings feature international, national or local speakers. Only members are eligible to participate in our dynamic workshops and excellent juried exhibitions. Membership dues are $35 a year and membership runs per calendar year. Dues are $25 a year for Student Members, available for those enrolled in a course of study.  (Please choose membership type above the palpay button).  Membership in FRCQ includes all meetings, a high-quality monthly online newsletter, and eligibility to register for workshops. Visitors are welcome to the monthly meetings for a $10.00 fee.

Location: Boy Scouts of America, 10455 W 6th Ave #100, Lakewood, CO 80215
Time: Monday meeting social time begins at 6:30pm, meetings start at 7:00pm; Saturday meeting social time begins at 9:30, meetings start at 10:00am.
