Closer Proximity
A window into social justice
Bryan Stevenson, Founder of the Equal Justice Initiative and “Just Mercy” Author, promotes the notion of engaging in closer proximity to understanding social injustice and activate solutions for change from a grass roots level. This show is an opportunity to explore visual arts windows into racial inequity, human trafficking, forced displacement, immigration, religious persecution, political power abuse, domestic violence, prison abuse, discrimination and the many injustices that infect our world in the hopes of recognizing and understanding injustice, in order to help bring justice to all. (As with any art show entry, the quality of the photograph matters.) Please include a one paragraph story or description of your art with your submission. You must be a current member of FRCQ to participate in this call. Email images (limit of 3 entries, no details needed) and story/description Sept 24 – Sept. 30, 2021 to joansowada@gmail.com.
